Gasgiant were formed in 1990 by Mike Wheeler and Ryan Hadnett (when they were 15) in Inverness. By 1994 the band were based in Edinburgh and have been gigging round Scotland ever since. After 9 years of developing their music Gasgiant recorded and released their first album: 'Alexander's Dark Band' on their own label Minker Records. Floppy Records started selling the album online in 2003. A second album is now OUT!! An Uncertainty Principle.

gasgiant are a terminally lazy, angular post-rock band from edinburgh, scotland, but if you like: godspeed you black emperor, mogwai, sigur ros, do make say think, spiritualized, explosions in the sky you might like gasgiant.
